A MOTHER IS BORN

And she deserves care, too.

Modern postpartum care often focuses on helping mothers survive the first few weeks after birth. But healing doesn't end when you're cleared at six weeks.

At Wellmother, we've created a three-phase approach that supports mothers through every stage of recovery, from preparing before birth to rebuilding long after everyone else assumes you're "back to normal."

Why So Many Mothers Still Don't Feel Like Themselves

Many mothers continue experiencing exhaustion, hormone imbalances, nutrient depletion, digestive issues, brain fog, and anxiety long after the newborn stage.

Instead of dismissing these symptoms as "just motherhood," we help uncover the root causes so you can heal with clarity—not guesswork.

why wellmother exists

MARISA
SWITZER

Founder, Postpartum Doula, and FUNCTIONAL NUTRITIONIST

After my own difficult recovery, I realized how broken our postpartum system is, and how little long-term care mothers receive once they leave the hospital.

I started Wellmother to change that: to provide mothers with the care, education, and nourishment needed to heal deeply, not just physically.

My unique combination of Postpartum Doula training and Functional Nutrition training brings together the worlds of compassionate care and root-cause healing.

This is the care I wish every mother had: holistic, evidence-based, and designed to rebuild you stronger than before.

  • I cannot recommend Marisa enough! She was absolutely incredible during my postpartum journey—knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly a calming presence during such a vulnerable time. Her expertise made all the difference, from helping with newborn care to supporting my recovery and emotional well-being. I felt so supported and confident knowing she was there. If you’re considering a postpartum doula, look no further—Marisa is the best of the best!

  • Marisa was an absolute lifesaver during my postpartum period. She is incredibly caring and compassionate, and her calm presence made such a difference when everything felt overwhelming. She checked in with me constantly in the most thoughtful way—never intrusive, always supportive—so I felt seen and cared for even on the hardest days. What really set Marisa apart was how she showed up. She came over, helped with the baby, and quietly took care of tasks around the house so I could rest and heal. From soothing the baby, to tidying up and making sure I had water and a snack nearby, she anticipated needs I didn’t even know I had. She event brought over a postpartum basket with things to support my postpartum healing and breastfeeding journey. If you’re looking for a postpartum doula who leads with heart, reliability, and true dedication, I can’t recommend Marisa enough. She was the support system I needed when I was freshly postpartum, and I’m so grateful for the care she showed me and my boys.

  • As a first-time mom, I felt so overwhelmed. Marisa didn’t just step in — she taught me. From feeding cues to sleep patterns and postpartum recovery, she gave me tools that made me feel capable again. Her presence was calm, grounding, and full of grace. I can’t imagine those early days without her.

    Client Review

  • Marisa has a gift for holding space for everyone — mom, dad, and baby. My husband and I both felt seen and supported. She guided us through new parenthood with empathy, education, and humor. Our home felt lighter and more peaceful because of her.
