A MOTHER IS BORN

And she deserves care, too.

REPLENISHMENT

Modern postpartum care is missing one crucial phase:

Wellmother brings together nourishment, support, and education into a more intentional system designed for how women actually recover.

Because recovery isn't enough.
Mothers deserve replenishment.

NICU Family Support

Because postpartum looks different when your baby is in the NICU.

After my own unplanned 27-day NICU experience, I saw how little care exists for parents during that time.

Our NICU Family Support offers trauma-informed, practical help — from in-home care and meal prep to milk transport and hospital companionship.

For families walking through the NICU or friends who want to gift real support, we’re here to help. Local to the Charlotte, NC area.

why wellmother exists

MARISA
SWITZER

Founder, dona-trained Postpartum Doula, and Future FDN-P

After my own difficult recovery, I realized how broken our postpartum system is, and how little long-term care mothers receive once they leave the hospital.

I started Wellmother to change that: to provide mothers with the care, education, and nourishment needed to heal deeply, not just physically.

My unique combination of Postpartum Doula training and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner training brings together the worlds of compassionate care and root-cause healing.

This is the care I wish every mother had: holistic, evidence-based, and designed to rebuild you stronger than before.

COMING SOON

Phase Three: Rebuild

Because motherhood shouldn't cost you your health.

Long after the six-week checkup, and even after breastfeeding, many mothers continue experiencing symptoms they've been told are simply part of motherhood.

Rebuild will help mothers restore their health through:

  • Functional lab testing

  • Personalized nutrition protocols

  • Supplement support

  • Lifestyle recommendations

  • I cannot recommend Marisa enough! She was absolutely incredible during my postpartum journey—knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly a calming presence during such a vulnerable time. Her expertise made all the difference, from helping with newborn care to supporting my recovery and emotional well-being. I felt so supported and confident knowing she was there. If you’re considering a postpartum doula, look no further—Marisa is the best of the best!

  • Marisa made those first weeks feel manageable — even peaceful. She anticipated what I needed before I knew how to ask for it, from emotional reassurance to practical help with feeding, rest, and routines. Having her by my side gave me the confidence to slow down, heal, and actually enjoy my baby.

    Client Review

  • As a first-time mom, I felt so overwhelmed. Marisa didn’t just step in — she taught me. From feeding cues to sleep patterns and postpartum recovery, she gave me tools that made me feel capable again. Her presence was calm, grounding, and full of grace. I can’t imagine those early days without her.

    Client Review

  • Marisa has a gift for holding space for everyone — mom, dad, and baby. My husband and I both felt seen and supported. She guided us through new parenthood with empathy, education, and humor. Our home felt lighter and more peaceful because of her.
